Introduction:
Vie.bet originally was launched as an online bookmaker specialising in esports. Its main objective was to offer gaming fans the opportunity to bet on their favourite esports teams. Due to the company restructuring, the brand was changed to focus more on online casino and slots.
My role was to redesign completely the main page and adapt the Casino platform to the brand.
The Research:
During the UX research, I studied the competitors’ take on landing pages and pinpointed their strongest and weakest points to avoid common errors. I also had to take the limitations of the casino platform into consideration. Based on this I created wireframes and designed components that fit the project.
The Design:
Vie’s brand has a very futuristic feeling with neons and flashy colours, It was inspired by gaming hardware and gadgets. I had to incorporate it into the casino theme. Having that in mind, I designed all the images for the banners. I created a modern, clean and eye-catching design, that still had a vibe of the previous website, but was at the same time fresh.
After the landing page was ready, I needed to adapt the brand to the casino platform. I designed the casino’s main page and user profile.
The Result:
The casino was put together by a team of in-house software developers. I collaborated with them to make sure it was as close to my design as possible. As usual, a few changes and minor tweaks had to be added in the process due to the limitations of the platform.
